About The CPD Board
The CPD Board™ is an international CPD accreditation body serving individual trainers, corporate learning teams, non-profit educators, and programme organisers across more than 160 countries. We assess and accredit Continuing Professional Development programmes and training providers against transparent, published criteria covering learning design, content quality, instructor qualifications, and learner outcomes.
Over 15,000 learners have enrolled in programmes accredited by The CPD Board.
What we accredit
We offer four accreditation tracks: Professional (individual trainers and coaches), Business (corporate and organisational training teams), Not-for-Profit, and Per Programme (course or event-level accreditation). Each application is individually reviewed by an assessor. No calls are usually required — the entire process runs via our secure online portal and email, with decisions typically issued within two to four business days.
What accreditation includes
Accredited providers receive a verifiable digital badge, an official Certificate of Accreditation, and the right to display The CPD Board logo across their website, marketing materials, and course documentation. Every accreditation includes a publicly verifiable record on The CPD Board website, accessible via a unique authentication code displayed on the certificate. Accredited providers can also issue CPD Participant Certificates to their learners at $10 per participant.
Our standards
Accreditation criteria are published on our website and cover: clearly defined SMART learning objectives, evidence-based content, qualified instructors, robust learner evaluation, and accessibility compliance to WCAG 2.1 AA. All accredited providers agree to The CPD Board's Accredited Party Code of Conduct. Accreditation runs for one year, with annual renewal and unannounced spot-checks to ensure ongoing compliance.
